I have always had a deep love for animals, especially cats. For years, I had some hesitation to breed them,  because some aspects of breeding did not particularly coincide with my personal values. But as a cat owner, I faced challenges in finding ethically bred, healthy Sphynx cats, particularly ones where the ALMS1 gene was not affected (which is linked to HCM). It is in this experience that I found my main inspiration to start my line on high health and ethical standards. I wanted to offer what I couldn't find myself: cats bred with the utmost care, above everything, for their health and genetically not affected. This is motivated by my great love for animals, and to the commitment of rearing a healthy lineage of cats, especially after losing previous pets to genetic disorders.

 

Since I was a little girl, I have always been fascinated with the unique appearance and loving personality that this breed possesses. This fascination sparked my dream-to be able to show my love for such special cats-and thus IconicSX Cattery was born.

 

My journey with Sphynx cats has been incredibly rewarding. I have put in an immense amount of time and effort, researching their characteristics and needs, plus their special needs for care, which has provided the foundation I have for my cattery. These cats are not just pets but loved family members and should be cared for and showered with as much love as possible. I'm deeply committed to responsible breeding practices and genetic transparency out of profound concern for their well-being.

 

With a rather selective attitude, I approach my efforts in finding appropriate homes for each of my kittens, accepting only families whose values and philosophies are akin to mine. I am aware that adopting a Sphynx cat is an important decision, so I try to help every person or family find the best fit according to their lifestyles and preferences. I nurture relationships based on mutual trust that are long-lasting by being responsive to and supportive of the adopters through the adoption process, as I share a love for these amazing animals.

 

Apart from my cattery, I am deeply involved in the Sphynx cat community, sharing knowledge and promoting responsible pet ownership. I really do support the cause of improving animal welfare and advocating for their benefit.
