Built on that foundation, IconicSX established the world’s first genetically documented DBE-CEL Sphynx breeding line, with each cat confirmed through individual, variant-specific PAX3 testing.

Our Breeding Framework
Health
At IconicSX, health is the foundation of the breeding programme — not a marketing term, but the basis for every breeding decision.
All breeding cats are screened for 70+ inherited conditions through accredited laboratories, with annual HCM cardiac scans by a veterinary cardiologist — all results normal to date. BAER hearing tests confirm bilateral hearing in every cat and kitten, and we routinely screen for FIV, FeLV, coronavirus, toxoplasmosis and upper respiratory infections.
Testing only matters when the results are documented and shared. Every family receives full documentation, including original laboratory certificates linked to the kitten’s microchip and complete records of all tests performed.
Pedigree
Our programme is built on documented lineage, verified registration, and long-term genetic planning — combining carefully selected foundation lines with our DBE-Celestial Sphynx line developed at IconicSX.
IconicSX Selina Kyle and her father Vincent both hold GCCF Champion titles, with Selina the first DBE Sphynx to achieve a GCCF Championship. Both have earned multiple Best of Breed awards and Top 1–3 placements in GCCF Miscellaneous Classes, and our foundation lines carry Champion and Grand Champion titles across international registries. All IconicSX kittens are registered with GCCF and TICA, with transparent, fully traceable pedigrees — because for us, a pedigree is a documented record of lineage and responsibility, not just a certificate.
Harmony
Our programme prioritises quality over quantity, with carefully planned pairings, limited breeding frequency, and appropriate recovery time for our queens. Each litter is the result of deliberate decisions, not routine cycles.
This approach protects the long-term wellbeing of our cats and preserves the integrity and rarity of our lines through responsible, intentional breeding.
Standards
During our active breeding years, IconicSX established the first documented and genetically confirmed DBE-Celestial Sphynx breeding line. Our genetic testing, BAER hearing assessments and transparent documentation helped establish the framework for DBE registration within GCCF. We also achieved the first GCCF Champion title awarded to an officially recognised DBE cat.
IconicSX was the only Sphynx cattery in the UK to hold TICA Outstanding Cattery certification, awarded following a completed veterinary inspection, and the only GCCF Approved Breeder in Scotland.
Both accreditations involved formal assessment and adherence to their respective health, welfare and breeding requirements.
Our breeding programme has been inactive since 2025, and we will not renew these accreditations for 2027.
